Why so serious, Batman? As in the city of Batman…

Posted by Eugene Wong On November - 10 - 2008

huseyinkalkanwss Why so serious, Batman? As in the city of Batman...I don’t know whether to crack up at how ludicrous this sounds or raise a mean, iron fist at how selfishly ignorant and idiotically foolish this really is.  According to an article on Hurriyet Daily News, Huseyin Kalkan, mayor of the southeastern city of Batman, Istanbul is attempting to sue “The Dark Knight” director, Christopher Nolan, over unpaid royalties for using the name of his city as a brand name in the film.  Note that he isn’t suing DC Comics, the company that actually created the superhero.  What a jackass.

I’m sure it would be more entertaining to read the article for yourself icon smile Why so serious, Batman? As in the city of Batman...
