“Wrestle Jam” as seen on The Wrestler
Remember that 8-bit Nintendo game Randy “The Ram” Robinson played with his neighbor in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler? Apparently “Wrestle Jam” was actually developed over a month’s time by motion graphics artist Kristyn Hume and programmer Randall Furino. The article on the making of the game can be found here.
You can also listen to the original 8-bit music created for the game below. Note – the footage shown is not from the game.

Woman Misses Her Flight at HK International Airport
Well…we don’t call our site Angry Web for nothing
Believe me, it’s even funnier if you understand what she’s saying in Cantonese – she calls one of the men crazy, for instance.

Interesting Facts
The original idea for 24 was for it to be a romantic comedy showing 24 hours in the life of a wedding.
Every cast member of 24 has their hair trimmed every five days to maintain continuity.
During Day One, the computers used by the good guys were Macs while the bad guys all used PCs. In later series the good guys started using HP machines while drug addicts downloaded stolen information to their iMacs.
US presidential loser John McCain had a walk-on part at 1.32pm on Day Five, delivering some papers to a CTU meeting.

*This is only part 1. You’ll find parts 2 and 3 on YouTube.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine – 60-Second TV Spots
Twentieth Century Fox has aired three 60-second TV spots for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. The first, second, and third TV spot are titled “Outcasts”, “Brothers”, and “Legends”, respectively, which you can check out below.
*If you’ve read the comic series, “Origin – The True Story of Wolverine”, you’ll know that that’s actually not a young Victor Creed – it’s a boy named Dog, who James Howlett (Wolverine) befriends. That man w/ the sideburns, who James kills in the TV spot, is Thomas Logan, Dog’s father. James Howlett starts to resemble Dog as he ages and eventually adapts the name Logan – after Dog’s father. Understand…? Anyways, I also don’t recall Dog’s father admitting himself to be James Howlett’s real father, and I’m betting there’s been a bit of tweaking done to the story for Hollywood purposes. Make no mistake though – overall, this does appear to be quite the faithful adaptation of the origin story from what we’ve seen in the spot so far.
The Simpsons for the first time in glorious HD!
This coming Sunday, “The Simpsons”, will be broadcast for the first time in High Definition. To celebrate the transition, the creators have animated a new opening for the show which can be seen here:
Smallville 8.15 – “Infamous” Trailer
So the writing’s been a little lackluster lately for this season of “Smallville”, especially for those who remember the recent horrendous “Power” episode…yes, where Lana Lang receives superpowers (ugh, geez…). Then again, “Smallville” has always had quite the fickle record for quality episodes, and as this trailer shows, it looks like it’s picking itself right back up once again.
The show continues March 12th with “Infamous” where, as seen in the trailer, Clark reveals his powers to the world, even to Lois. While my curiosity’s certainly piqued by the direction this show seems to be taking, I’m also baffled as to how the writers will actually pull this off. After all, Clark currently doesn’t wear glasses. Neither does Superman (aka “the red-blue blur”). Hmm, that’s a problem…
Well, we can only speculate on the resolution to this dilemma for now, and seeing as there’s an episode of “Hex” coming up with a guest appearance by Zatanna, a magician character in the DC mythos, I have the slightest feeling she may play some role in this. Of course take that with a grain of salt – I’m only theorizing here
But however the writers do choose to disentangle this plotline, they had better seriously not screw this up. “Smallville” is, indeed, nearing “Superman” territory at this stage of the show and here’s hoping that the writers are well aware of the thin ground they’re now treading on.
“Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter” Trailer Released
Warner Home Video has released the trailer for “Tales of the Black Freighter”, the DVD/blu-ray feature film adapted from the comic book within the “Watchmen” graphic novel. The release will also include a documentary-type film called “Under the Hood” which will explore the backstories behind the characters of “Watchmen”.
“Tales of the Black Freighter” comes out on March 24th.
Does anyone else believe we only have 20 days left until “Watchmen”? Wow
