Spray-painted graffiti reading “Who watches the Watchmen?” have begun to turn up on walls around New York City. While there is the question of whether this was the doing of Warner Bros, I highly doubt this would be the case. The work has more likely been done by street vandals, unofficially promoting the film’s release.
Silhouettes of Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II have also been found in Toronto alleyways, as well as fake posters for “The Veidt Method”. Official or not, this is some wicked publicity for the film.
