Only in India

Posted by Rahul Victor On March - 10 - 2009

Many people think Slumdog exposed serious societal issues in India, but it clearly missed the biggest problem of all: Motorcycle-Ninjas. Clearly the one in the video got a little lazy and let himself be videotaped but to make up for it he then killed the whole town of Mumbai…except for the cows. Always gotta respect the cows. That’s how Indian ninjas roll.

Also, you have to love the commentary: “He’s just chilling! That’s crazy, dood! Bro, what?”

Ah, Indian people.

Fantastic 4 all over again? Can’t wait!!

f4 Fantastic 4 all over again? Cant wait!!

I don’t know about you guys, but ever since the last Fantastic Four movie came and went in theaters, I’ve been crying myself to sleep while eating copious amounts of mint chocolate-chip, low-fat ice-cream (I only allow myself the full-fat version on a really bad day) and watching re-runs of I Love Lucy every night (that Lucy Ricardo is just soooo funny and adorable). Well, I’m glad to see help is on the way, MTV reports:

According to anonymous sources at IESB, the “Fantastic Four” film franchise could receive a complete overhaul alongside “Daredevil” and “Planet of the Apes,” with the studio opting to take those properties into more serious territories with new directors.

Daredevil too? Seriously, what did I do to please God so much that he’s blessing us all with such unbelievable news? This day definitely goes down as a historic moment for America, just like when it was announced there would be a Garfield 2, a Pink Panther 2, and Mickey Rourke was still alive.

In fact, I’m going to start camping out now, and for anybody that tries to cut, just know that I’m bringing my machete with me.

Sam Worthington to replace Bale in the next Batman film?

0652180000 Sam Worthington to replace Bale in the next Batman film?

Bale and Worthington for Termintaro: Salvation.

According to news.com.au, Sam Worthington is rumored to be playing the role of Batman in the next installment of the Nolan franchise. The website said:

Industry gossip now suggests the rising Australian star could score the part of Batman in the third instalment of the successful prequel franchise.

That could mean replacing Bale, his Terminator co-star and The Dark Knight lead, whose profile was damaged after his infamous “me, me, me” meltdown on the Terminator set, which recently hit the internet.

My guess would be that this is complete and utter bullshit. What do you think?

Megan Fox is hot (and in movies)

meganfox2 Megan Fox is hot (and in movies)

I wish I could sincerely say that I cared what Megan Fox does with her life. But I don’t. So long as she stays hot. But I’m just looking for an excuse to post her pictures up, so if you really care, MTV reports:

As The Hollywood Reporter tells us today, Fox is currently in final negotiations to co-star in “Jonah Hex” opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich, and furthermore, it’s been confirmed that Fox will star in a feature film based on Top Cow Productions’ “Fathom” to play the lead role of Aspen Matthews.

Blahblahblahblahblahblah. If you’re actually still reading this instead of looking at the pics then you must be either female or jumping up and down at the thought of a gay Batman-musical.

Spidey-musical: Just what I wanted

spidermusical Spidey musical: Just what I wanted

NOT.

Since when did the natural progression of super-heroes become comic-books–>cartoons–>action-figures–>feature-films–>Broadway musicals? USA Today reports:

It’s official: Spider-Man is about to make the leap to Broadway — and he’s bringing some very illustrious mortals with him.

Marvel Studios has confirmed that a musical is in development based on the popular superhero, and that Tony Award-winning stage and screen director Julie Taymor and rock superstars Bono and the Edge are on board. The U2 frontman and guitarist will write music and lyrics.

I can already imagine it: Dark Knight: The Desolate Spandex Man where Joker’s line, “You complete…me” would be taken completely out of context. Batman and Joker would fall madly in love with each other and have babies and domestic-spousal issues while simultaneously creating and fighting crime together, starting with Prop. 8. That actually sounds kind of genius! Quick, somebody shoot me before I start pitching it to the Broadway people.
