Way to go, Tom Rothman. Your lies have been exposed and Fox’s integrity has now plummeted to the lowest of lows. Weeks ago, Fox head, Tom Rothman, had responded to the workprint leak of X-Men Origins: Wolverine by stating that it was about 10 minutes shorter and lacking key scenes. A few days ago, however, there was already suspicion on this as theaters had posted the running time for the film at 107 minutes, being the same length as the workprint.
Veritas, a reader from Ain’t it Cool News has reported seeing the final, theatrical print, stating the following: “The workprint version IS in fact identical to the release print, sans effect and some audio work…The finished effects are lackluster, to say the least – some really bad CGI work made me groan numerous times”
Strangely, there was also a clause viewers were required to sign prior to watching the film, as reported by Veritas: “We had to sign a clause that we wouldn’t even TALK about the movie until two days prior to its US release, especially on the web.”
As much as I’d like to sympathize with Hugh Jackman’s hard efforts into this film, this is really not a good situation for Fox. Clearly, Jackman had no fault in any of this, but rather the poor production team and the deceitful studio behind it. Well, I for one was actually planning on catching this in the theaters, but with Fox’s lack of effort into even improving the workprint in the slightest, I really don’t know now.
Here’s an idea, Fox: Make a good-quality film; I don’t care if it’s bootlegged in hi-def all over the internet – I’d still be willing to pay to watch it in the theaters. Take that with a giant mound of salt.

Here’s a better idea: Stop believing everything you read. Some random commenter on a website isn’t exactly one of the more trustworthy sources out there.
@TS
aintitcool is a pretty reliable source.
Still, this Veritas guy specifically?
To be fair, who is Veritas? Who says he isn’t just some fanboy out to stir crap? But then again, it is Tom Rothman we are talking about here
Let’s not kid ourselves. Fox fucked up and is trying to salvage ticket sales.
yo, great name for site)))
