A mysterious Konami website has been floating around lately teasing the next project for Kojima Productions, the studio behind the Metal Gear Solid series. Initially displaying a broken link, the site has updated to reveal a Flash image of a field beneath a stormy sky. Looking at the source code for the page, keywords suchs as MGS, Metal Gear, and Next can be found, telling us we can almost be sure this is an announcement for the 5th Metal Gear release. A countdown clock was also added flashing the number “5″ around every 30 seconds in the classic font used in the Metal Gear series. Doing the math, this clock counts down to 6 p.m. tomorrow in Pacific Standard Time.
