Variety has reported that screenwriter John Fusco (The Forbidden Kingdom, Hidalgo, Young Guns) has been hired to pen the screenplay for the new live-action “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie. Fusco said the following:
“It is always exciting when you can come aboard a project that bridges the worlds of what you do with what you love.”
With the film intended to be an origins story, Fusco plans to incorporate elements from the original Peter Laird-Kevin Eastman 80s comic series for the new film.
