legionposter First Legion trailer released

The first trailer for Scott Stewart’s “Legion” has been released on MySpace and damn, does this film look intense! “Legion” tells the story of the archangel Michael, played by Paul Bettany, who descends down to Earth to prepare mankind for the impending apocalypse. Think Constantine meets The Exorcist here.

*Yes, as annoying as it is, you have to enter your DOB in order to view the trailer.  If you’re under 18, use your brain; if you’re a child, use your Math textbook; if you’re a toddler, use a calculator.

“Legion” hits theaters January 22nd, 2010.

“Lost” 6.01 will be called…

paulscheerlost Lost 6.01 will be called...LA X.

You might’ve remembered from the “Lost” panel at Comic-Con that comedian Paul Scheer stepped up to present producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse with a velvet painting called “Damon, Carlton, and a Polar Bear”. Well, it appears this was all part of a viral campaign for the show’s final season as fans were directed to the following website:

Scheer later found that an intern had apparently trashed his velvet painting in the ABC production offices and decided to break into the building himself to speak with Lindelof and Cuse. However, while scrounging through a trash bin on the ABC lot, Scheer found design drawings for a temple as well as paper shreddings for the cover page of the first episode of the final season. Scheer documented the entire visit which you can watch below:

“Wolverine” heads to Japan

Posted by Eugene Wong On August - 10 - 2009

During an interview at MTV’s Teen Choice Awards, Hugh Jackman confirmed that the next “Wolverine” movie will take place in Japan. Jackman said the following:

Japan is where we’re heading, [and] we’re starting to work on it now. We’re in the…first steps of developing that story.

That story, being Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s story arc from the comics which consisted of four issues that were published back in 1982. In this arc, Wolverine travels to Japan to search after his love, Mariko Yashida, only to find her married to a businessman and involved with a ninja clan called The Hand. Sharing his thoughts on the adaptation, Jackman had this to say:

I think the fans love that saga. It’s my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories.

Jay Chou is Kato

The role of Kato in Michel Gondry’s “The Green Hornet” has finally been cast and has been given to Asian singer and actor Jay Chou.

Michel Gondry said the following:

Jay is incredibly unique and charming and fights like a wild dog! When I filmed him next to Seth, they had such great chemistry, and I knew the movie will be great.

Chou also expressed the following:

It’s an overwhelming experience to take on a role made famous by Bruce Lee. I won’t try to be Bruce Lee’s Kato – I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part. Of course, it’s a dream role, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

What do you guys think about Chou taking on the role of Kato?

“The Green Hornet” is scheduled for a July 9th, 2010 release.
