Smallville Smallville: Season 9 premieres tonight!

“Smallville” returns in its 9th season with its premiere episode entitled “Savior”. Sure, the finale last spring disappointed a large number of fans (Jimmy Olsen…wasn’t Jimmy Olsen? Oh wait, he has a younger brother now. LAME.), but this season certainly looks quite promising, what with Clark’s badass new get-up adorned with its luminous blue “S”. Expect appearances by Metallo, Roulette, the Wonder Twins, The Justice Society, as well as the return of the Toyman and most likely, the rest of the Justice League. Will this season be the final one? Quite possibly, so let’s hope this turns out being one of the greater seasons in this long-running series.

Season 9, Episode 1 – Savior – Friday 9/25, 8/7c on The CW

Clark decides that he wants to begin his training with Jor-El, while Lois meets a new reporter for the Daily Planet named John Corben. In addition, Chloe requests a favor from Clark that ultimately “drives a wedge” in their friendship.

Season 6, Episode 1 – Broken – Monday 9/21, 8/7c on Fox

House begins a detox program at Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital to get the vicodin out of his system in an attempt to control his hallucinations. House plans to leave the treatment facility once he is clean, but he is strong-armed into staying by his attending physician, Dr. Darryl Nolan (guest star Andre Braugher). Dr. Nolan agrees to write a recommendation to reinstate House’s medical license only if House agrees to further treatment. When House is moved to a new ward in the hospital, he develops a close relationship with his new roommate, Alvie (guest star Lin-Manuel Miranda), and Lydia (guest star Franka Potente), a frequent visitor who helps House bend the rules. House asks Alvie to help him uncover incriminating information about Dr. Nolan that would allow him to blackmail his way out of the treatment center and convinces Lydia to loan him her car to sneak out a delusional patient in an attempt by House to undermine Dr. Nolan’s course of treatment. But when devastating events ensue, House is humbled into reluctantly accepting help.

AnyClip Trailer – Great Moments From Epic Films from Team AnyClip on Vimeo.

Ever wanted to refer a movie clip to a friend, but just couldn’t quite remember where it even came from? Recently at TechCrunch50, a conference that showcases up-and-coming startup companies, a website called AnyClip was presented which generated a popular response from the audience.

AnyClip is basicaly a search engine that aims to find “any moment from any film ever made.” How does it work? The site allows users to manually enter data for any film in their database. For example, if you wanted to find the scene from “Men in Black”, where Agent Jay drags a screeching table across a room to take an exam, you would simply type in “Jay, table, exam”; chances are, you’ll find it. In addition, AnyClip digs through closed captions and subtitles when searching for a clip.

While AnyClip is still currently in private beta, you can sign up for an invite to try out the service at http://www.anyclip.com
