Mehrangarh Fort Jodhpur TDKR begins filming May 6th in India

Looks like Chris Nolan and company will finally be getting the gears in motion to commence filming on his third and final Batman installment. According to The India Times, “The Dark Knight Rises” is scheduled to begin shooting at the Mehrangarh Fort in India on May 6th.  Here’s an article about the fort on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehrangarh_Fort

Nolan is expected to arrive with the main crew on May 1st, and Christian Bale on May 4th or 5th. Filming will take place between May 6th and 7th. Interestingly, no other cast members have been mentioned for the shoot. So what could Bruce Wayne possibly be doing somewhere so far as India? Searching for Talia? Tracking down Bane? Let the speculation begin.

Jerry With Brushes Adam Hughes: How to Draw Videos!

Jerry’s Artarama has released 3 videos on their youtube channel, each clip being almost 10 minutes and a combined total run time of approximately 30minutes. All the clips along with many other videos on “how to” about art are Hi-Definition (720p) so you are able to get crystal clear picture and all the filming is done by professionals.

You can check out the links to the videos at ComicArtFans or at Jerry’sArtarama youtube channel. Also a side note, Jerry’s Artarama is working on a DVD with Adam Hughes which will run approximately 90 minutes and take the viewer through Hughes complete process from start to finish for a convention sketch (you know…the sketches people wait in line forever for…the ones that cost $200/piece…maybe more now days), so be on the look out for that and see you at San Diego Comic Con.

Reviving the Legacy

mortal kombat legacy web series news Reviving the Legacy

Mortal Kombat: Legacy, a new short mini series produced by Warner Brothers and debuting on the Machinima youtube channel. So far we are told that this series will have nine parts to it and part one (episode 1) is now out on Machinima on youtube. It is being directed by Kevin Tancharoen the same individual behind the “Mortal Kombat Rebirth” short fan film If you would like to find out more just check out FIRSTSHOWING.NET.

This series will be a real treat for die hard Mortal Kombat fans and aside from the fan base the series itself seems to be well funded and produced. After watching episode one I definitely have high hopes for this mini-series and I’m looking forward to episode two coming out next week. I do have a small concern however; 1) hopefully this remains a mini-series and does not turn into a full blown TV show and the reason being that it would simply dilute the story, short and sweet is the best way to go with Mortal Kombat, and 2) it seems that there will be a re-vamp of the original Mortal Kombat movie (can’t wait for that!) and there is very little information provided for it the only thing that is known for sure at the moment is that the remake will be much, much darker and with the help of all the new CG methods hopefully we’ll get a really gritty rated R version, otherwise whats the point right?

In the mean time we can keep our fingers crossed for this great mini-series to only get better!
