I am a huge fan of Tim Burton’s films, especially his stop motion ones. There is something unique and simply spectacular in his films like “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Corpse Bride”. Well, it looks like Burton might be adding another stop-motion film to his list of hits before too long, that being his feature length adaptation of his 1984 short film, Frankenweenie.
This new Frankenweenie will include a lot more story and plot lines than the original because it’s, well, a full length version of one of his earlier short film, telling the story of a boy who, after his dog gets hit by a car, decides to reanimate it. This project sounds fun because it will be stop motion black and white and converted to 3D. The voice cast includes: Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan and Atticus Shaffer. Sorry no Johnny Deep and Helena Bonham this time.`
Release Date: October 5, 2012
