Angry Girl Of The Week: Tallest Silver

This week I am happy to present another cosplayer that I met at the Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles a few weeks back. After reviewing some of the photos that I took, I contacted her in hopes that she would be featured as an Angry Girl and, without hesitation, she agreed.

It’s not often we get a cosplayer portraying Power Girl on this site and this week I am happy to present to our readers, Tallest Silver. Be sure to check out her links at the bottom of the post and follow her work. She is a great artist!

Name: Tallest Silver
Age: 23

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I like long walks on the beach, romantic candlelit dinners, drinks involving Bailey’s (I want some endorsement money here!) and- oh yeah, I like to dress up like fictional characters and read/watch comics and cartoons. But that’s just a minor thing, or whatever.

What do you like to do for fun?
I hate fun. Or rather, I like to read, draw, occasionally knit if the mood is right, cook, screech really loudly at people, make dreams come true or shatter them needlessly. And I guess cosplay.

What do you want to do for a living?
I wanted to be a cartoonist, but at this point, I’m not quite sure. I am seriously now considering being a teacher (which is in itself, a frightening thought that I could be molding tomorrow’s minds. To be mad scientists, of course).

What type of video games, TV shows and movies do you like?
I don’t really watch TV anymore or play video games anymore. I used to be quite savvy on my old school gameboy and I would rock Tetris and Pokemon Blue like nobody’s business. I try and catch Venture Brothers, Young Justice, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and other just FUN shows. Movies, I do love a good animated movie, and I will always be a Disney girl at heart.

What is your favorite comic book?
“Batwoman: Elegy” is one of my favorite graphic novels of all time, as is “Watchmen”, “The Long Halloween”, “Cable and Deadpool” and “House of M”. On the anime side of things, I like Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, and Chobits.

Tell us something interesting about you.
People like to describe me as “interesting” but I really don’t think there’s anything of interest to me, especially since I cannot think of something terribly interesting about me.

Why did you decide to dress like any characters you portray?
My love for the characters, that’s pretty much the only reason. A lot of times, people will tell me I should dress up like so-and-so, but I don’t really take heed to that because I know who I like and just because I may look like a certain character, doesn’t mean I want to put my time, money, and effort into being them if I know nothing about them.

Anything else we should know about you?
Purple monkey dishwasher.
