Since one of the featured girls from last weekend’s Comikaze expo has been featured on Reddit, I am going to do everyone a favor and give them 2 extra days to bask in some awesome costumes that came out of the expo last weekend in Los Angeles, CA.
We found some great looking costumes in the few hours that we were there and tried to get shots of the best ones! I haven’t been able to touch any of the photos up yet so here are all the raw images. You can expect a full comprehensive Comikaze article in the next day or so.
If you are interested in becoming one of our girls of the week, send 4-5 photos and answer the questions above to Daniel@AngryWeb.net.
Unlike Boarders (R.I.P.), Barnes and Noble has done a pretty good job of staying relevant in an eBook market. With their house brand of eReader, The Nook, B&N has just announced their entrance into the tablet market just weeks after Amazon announced their Kindle Fire.
The Nook Tablet will be released on November 18, in alignment with the Kindle Fire, and will be a multimedia device with support for books, movies, apps and more. The Nook Tablet will also have full support for Hulu, Netflix and Pandora. Of course there will also be support for books and comics along with a web browser and email capabilities.

If your like me, then in recent weeks you have probably been wondering to yourself: “Where will I be spending 60+ hours on end exploring, thieving, beating, shooting, wandering, driving, flying, jumping in the new Grand Theft Auto?” Well wonder no longer. As of today, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be taking place in a city that we are all familiar with: San Andreas.
Yes, it is a return to a past life. However, this teaser raises more questions. Los Santos (mock up of Los Angeles) has been revealed in the trailer, but will Las Venturas (Las Vegas) make a come back? Will San Fierro (San Fransisco) return? Let’s hope so. And whose voice and character model will we be playing as? Was that Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City? And that voice sounds familiarly similar to Ray Liotta.
As you can see in the trailer, the graphics are stunning and at an all time high for the franchise. Furthermore, the environment looks vast and perfect for the exploring gamers needs. We can see the skyline of downtown Los Ang…er Los Santos, the beauty of Santa Monic…Santa Maria Beach, and the enjoyment of the Paradi….Pleasure Pier.
No release date has been announced, but looking at GTA IV as an example, I’m guessing sometime around April in 2012.
Being socially awkward, playing tabletop games and dressing up like your favorite video game character may not be some of the coolest activities to take part in but they do qualify you to be our Angry Girl of the week!
Chrissy caught my eye when I came across some of her Dead or Alive photos where she had portrayed my favorite character, Kasumi. In a sea of Harley Quinns, it was nice finding someone who was a little bit different than what you’re used to on Angry Web and we are proud to present to you, this week’s Angry Girl.
Name: Chrissy Ryan
Age: 19Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m socially awkward. I never know what to say, therefore I prefer to listen. However, I feel much more confident at anime conventions, for some reason. I owe the people around me so much for putting up with me!What do you like to do for fun?
I like to do anything that allows me to immerse myself in another character. I love cosplay, because it allows me to become an epic character. I also love acting and tabletop roleplaying games. My friends and I play the World of Darkness series, primarily. I also love the guild I am in online, where I roleplay a pokemon trainer. What do you want to do for a living?
I hope to go to medical school and become a pediatrician or a psychiatrist .What type of video games, TV shows and movies do you like?
My favorite videogames are roleplaying ones (Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Legendia, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus), the Pokemon Games, and Wii Sports. My favorite TV shows are Family Guy and Spongebob. My favorite movies are Memoirs of a Geisha and Definitely, Maybe. What is your favorite comic book?
If manga counts, then Kodocha is my favorite. It was the first manga I ever read. I was in 4th grade, I believe.Tell us something interesting about you.
I’ve been friends with my best friend (Kaitlin) for over 15 years. Why did you decide to dress like Kasumi or any other characters you portray?
My choosing to dress like Kasumi is actually different from my usual reasons to cosplay. Kasumi isn’t a typical skinny anime character. She has real curves, so I felt my body was better suited to her. I usually just cosplay as characters I like, who have cool costumes.Anything else we should know about you?
I do not make my costumes; just the props. I’m more into the acting aspect of cosplay![]()
