It is always sad when a visionary passes away, especially one that means so much to the industry we here at Angry Web live to write about.
Jerry Robinson, the mind behind the Joker, Robin, Two Face and Alfred, passed away in his sleep Wednesday afternoon at the age of 89. Jim Lee, one of the most famous comic book artists of our time was quoted:
Jerry Robinson illustrated some of the defining images of pop culture’s greatest icons. As an artist myself, it’s impossible not to feel humbled by his body of work. Everyone who loves comics owes Jerry a debt of gratitude for the rich legacy that he leaves behind.
