Ever since I found out that Square-Enix would be publishing a game that mixed elements of “Final Fantasy” with the Disney universe, I was ecstatic. After my original 60GB PS3 crapped out, forcing me to reinvest in a non-backwards compatible, slim model, I was bummed that I no longer had access to “Kingdom Hearts” console games.
Fast forward to today and we still don’t have any next-gen console KH games but the handheld market has been flooded.
The next “Kingdom Hearts” games fans will be able to get their hands on will be “Dream Drop Distance” for the Nintendo 3DS. This new title was one of the premier titles Square-Enix showed off this year at E3 and we got some assets for you to feat your eyes on until its release date on July 31, 2012.
DDD features the great hack and slash gameplay that made the game easy to adapt to and adds touch screen elements as long as timed elements.
King Mickey and Yen Sid prepare for an impending threat by putting Sora and Riku through the Mark of Mastery exam. Sora and Riku are sent into the Sleeping Worlds, where they will face enemies and allies that have never been seen before. If they can successfully complete the task they are given, they will be deemed true Keyblade Masters.
