Cameron Diaz cast in “The Green Hornet”…?!?

Posted by Eugene Wong On July - 9 - 2009

cameron diaz Cameron Diaz cast in The Green Hornet...?!?According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Cameron Diaz is currently in early talks to play the female lead role in “The Green Hornet”, next to Seth Rogen.  Wow, now I really don’t know what to think of this project.  Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz in an adaptation of the crime-fighter serial “The Green Hornet”, which originally starred legendary icon, Bruce Lee, might I add???  Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Stephen Chow to sit out of this one and move on with “Kung Fu Hustle 2″ after all.

Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen are penning the screenplay for the Michel Gondry-directed film adaptation.

“The Green Hornet” is scheduled for a July 9th, 2010 release date.

Is Harrison Ford ready for an Indy 5?

indy5harrisonford Is Harrison Ford ready for an Indy 5?Could Harrison Ford already be prepping himself up for another wild adventure as Indiana Jones?  According to CBS’s “The Insider”, the rumored fifth installment in the franchise will begin development as soon as next year, with a planned 2011 release year, when Ford is 69.

Let’s note that this news hasn’t been widely published on many other sites and “The Insider” isn’t always exactly the most credible news program as their website cites unnamed sources on this.  They also state the following:

“Harrison has kept himself in good shape and could still do a lot of the stunts in the last film.”

At Ford’s age, I think we’ll most definitely see him playing more of a mentor role to Shia Laboeuf’s character, Mutt.  Let’s just hope we don’t see anymore overblown alien CGI or extravagant stunt scenes in this next one…ahem…surviving a nuclear blast inside a refrigerator.  As long as Spielberg keeps this franchise on a tight leash and Lucas’ hands off the final screenplay, I’m all for another Indy adventure.  What improvements would you like to see with a 5th Indiana Jones feature?

Michael Papajohn returning for “Spiderman 4″

Posted by Eugene Wong On June - 22 - 2009

michaelpapajohn Michael Papajohn returning for Spiderman 4Mmm…pizza.  Wait, what?  Oh, right, during a Q&A interview at Wizard World Philadelphia, actor Michael Papajohn, who played Uncle Ben’s (Mmm…instant rice) killer in the first “Spiderman” film, revealed that he would be returning in “Spiderman 4″.  When asked what his role entailed, he answered that if he told us, he’d have to kill us.  Interesting.

If I remember correctly, Papajohn’s character crashed through a window and fell to his death in the first film.  How will he return?  Unless Raimi wants to screw with the story some more as he did in “Spiderman 3″, we’re betting the next film will bring in Chameleon as the villain, who will morph into Papajohn’s character (I love his name) to toy with Peter Parker at some point.  Any other possible ideas?  We’d love to hear them.

“Spiderman 4″ is aiming for a May 6, 2011 release.  Good lord, that’s a long ways away.

We know this post is short, so to make up for it, here’s a pic of Olivia Munn as Princess Leia…
