Here are some brand spankin’ new screens and a trailer from the upcoming “Harley Quinn’s Revenge”. For those that have already completed “Batman: Arkham City”, you will have over 2 hours of new content which will allow you to alternate between Batman and Robin. This content will be available on May 29th as either a DLC or on the Game of the Year edition of BAC.

Payback’s a bitch, especially when dealing with The Joker’s most psychotic sidekick, Harley Quinn. Harley is the new boss of Arkham City and is determined to make Batman pay for what he’s done to The Joker. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment bring to you today a new trailer and screenshots from Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack, the final chapter of Batman: Arkham City saga that adds more than two hours of fresh single-player gameplay to the critically-acclaimed title from Rocksteady Studios. The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission sends players back into Arkham City to face their final challenge as they interchange between playing as both Batman and Robin.

For those of you who have ever wondered which Batmobile would win in a race between the classic 1960′s Adam West version and the 1989 Tim Burton version, our friends over at Bat in the Sun Productions have an answer for you.

In the new web series, “Super Power Beat Down”, 2 legendary vehicles are pitted against each other to find out which one will reign supreme! In their episode 1, get Fast and Furious with 2 classic Batmobiles as they see who can cross the finish line first. Also, find out from an expert a little bit about what’s under the hood and why they are better than your car.

When I cracked this open I didn’t realize that this book didn’t contain the Harley Quinn comics that I didn’t own. So what I am saying is, I own the individual copies (except for #1) of the ones that are in this full book.

But I guess I cant be too upset, I didn’t own #1 and now I have a sweet graphic novel to show off.

This book features comics 1-7.

Story:
Harley gets betrayed by the Joker and sets off on her own and forms a group with her own henchman (The Quinntets, but not before teaming up with Two Face and having a sleep over with some of her gal pals. She tries to rob Batman but does it work? Can she defeat the Riddler? And more importantly will she be able to say away from the Joker? Read the book to find out!

Art:
Terry and Rachel Dodson did a fantastic job with the art of this book. Although released in 2000/2001 it for some reason gave me a 90s comic feel (I have been reading a bunch of comics from the 90s recently). I think the art is very Harley Quinn-ish (far better than the way they have been treating her lately…) and personally I feel that they somehow give off an awesome fun vibe to the comic. When the mood is supposed to be witty somehow the colors in that panel fit and when the mood is serious you can tell without reading the dialogue. Overall, I did very much think this book was visually appealing.

Writing:
I truly enjoyed this story. I like that it portrays Harley as someone who can manage on her own by utilizing all the things she learned from the Joker instead of just wallowing in self pity when the man she loves kicks her to the curb. While she does struggle with her love for him (as most..women in love do) the story never really derailed from the plot…her reminiscing was just kind of an inner monologue if you will (except when having to talk about it with people who asked). I love that in this Harley kept her peppy/crazy attitude even when she was mad or needed to snap at someone it was written in a way that didn’t make her sound upset, it was like she was saying everything with a smile and a pep in her step haha.

Although short, the Joker was the Joker and no one else. Although you could tell something was up his sleeve when he talked to his henchmen and the way he treated Harley. And lastly, the dialogue between Harley and her gal pals at her sleepover was also very well written. Each character was given a voice just with words alone and you could truly tell that Harley cared for them.

End Result:
Definitely a good buy if you cant get ahold of the individual comics. Keep in mind that this isn’t numbered on the outside so you have to look on the inside to see what issues are featured in the book. I didn’t know about that so I bought a book of comics I already own (with the exception of #1 like I said). If you like Harley Quinn and want to dabble in her individual comic (assuming you haven’t already) then this is also a good buy for you.

The book sells for $24.99 US and $29.99 CAN but I managed to snag mine half off at my local comic shop so if you dont wanna splurge on it, go when your shop is having a sweet sale!

Were you planning on seeing the 3rd, and final, installment of Nolan’s Batman story the weekend it’s being released? Well you better stat looking into purchasing your tickets because it’s already selling out…6 months in advance.

Movie goers are purchasing tickets through Fandango and IMAX showings of TDKR is sold out in many of the major cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

Can Nolan regain his title with a record breaking opening weekend? Like last time, he won’t have 3D sales to fall back on but the inflated prices to catch the film on an IMAX screen should help a bit.

We are in month 5 since DC launched the “New 52″ and after some consideration and sales figures, 6 titles did not make the cut.

The 6 that will be making disappearing from shelves after their 8th issue are:

• Blackhawks
• Hawk and Dove
• Men of War
• Mister Terrific
• O.M.A.C.  and
• Static Shock

With these cuts will be the launch of 6 new titles (keeping it at 52 in total), which DC is calling the “second wave” and are set to include:

• World’s Finest
• Dial H
• G.I. Combat
• The Ravagers
• Earth 2 and
• Batman Incorporated

(As if we didn’t have enough titles with the word “Bat” in it.)

The new series are set to premier in May after April’s #8 issues are published.
