That’s right fans! The Boy Wonder will be a playable character in the “Batman: Arkham City” video game due out later this Fall. The catch? The game must be pre-ordered at your local Best Buy. This downloadable content is, in fact, a Best Buy exclusive.
Here is the E3 trailer showing off Catwoman as a playable character in “Batman: Arkham City”. Of all the games set to be released this year, this is one of the games that makes us here at AW all tingly inside.
Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City – five times larger than the game world in Batman: Arkham Asylum – and the new maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new, all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.
Be sure to check out our coverage of E3 next week including any news, videos and pictures. Below you will find the “Arkham City” trailer and a few high quality pictures. Be sure to bookmark us to keep up to date with all the news next week!
With the new campaign rolling out for “The Dark Knight Rises”, I went back into the ole’ Angry Web archives and pulled up some images and files that remind us how great the viral marketing was for “The Dark Knight”.
As a huge fan of the franchise, I was but a mere geek among geeks that blogged about the campaign and played along. I went to Santa Monica to participate in promoting Harvey Dent. I went to Hollywood to get a Joker card. I drove to San Diego to see the movie 3 days before it’s release.
At the time, Angry Web was just a site hosted by wordpress.com. My coverage blew the site up and forced me into becomming self-hosted and take things a bit more seriously. Unfortunately, I took things a bit too seriously and posted some pictures of Heath Ledger in the nurse’s outfit and was paid a visit by a Warner Bros. investigator late one Friday night along with a cease an desist email. Fortunately everything turned out OK but because of that, Angry Web became much more than a blog for me.
Here is a little trip down memory lane for fans of Batman and Nolan’s work alike. This is my collection of files going back to the beginning of “The Dark Knight” viral campaign. Enjoy!

We were all hoping that we would start seeing some viral marketing popping up in preparation for the 3rd, and final, installment of Nolan’s Batman universe.
Well, today is the day anxious fans get a taste of “The Dark Knight Rises”. You can visit the new official site at thedarkknightrises.com and hear some strange audio. Let us know in the comments what you think it is.
Also, we get to see the first image of Tom Hardy as Bane. It seems like not too long ago fans were blown away with Ledger’s first joker image. How does this strike you?
Stay tuned while in the coming days, we revisit the marketing plan that made “The Dark Knight” so special.

Jerry’s Artarama has released 3 videos on their youtube channel, each clip being almost 10 minutes and a combined total run time of approximately 30minutes. All the clips along with many other videos on “how to” about art are Hi-Definition (720p) so you are able to get crystal clear picture and all the filming is done by professionals.
You can check out the links to the videos at ComicArtFans or at Jerry’sArtarama youtube channel. Also a side note, Jerry’s Artarama is working on a DVD with Adam Hughes which will run approximately 90 minutes and take the viewer through Hughes complete process from start to finish for a convention sketch (you know…the sketches people wait in line forever for…the ones that cost $200/piece…maybe more now days), so be on the look out for that and see you at San Diego Comic Con.
Are there real life super heroes among us? Well you might be surprised to know that what we have considered as fiction for so long is taking on a very tangible and real form, perhaps its from all the new super hero films or perhaps just from “Kick Ass,” though we may never know for sure.
Turns out ordinary people are beginning to take action for the same reasons our beloved mythical heroes take action in their own stories…for a better reality.
For a more detailed look into this phenomenon check out REAL LIFE SUPER HEROES and YAHOO! NEWS. These daring folks may seem odd, but they’ve got a lot of guts to be putting themselves on the line for the benefits of others…and yes they are sporting costumes and some even weapons!
