I don’t know why, but it exists…

Since we here at AW are pretty much obsessed with anything from the Batman Universe, the minute I saw this video I knew I had to share it with our audience.
Tara Strand, who notably portrays Harley Quinn on the interwebs, performs to Macy Gray’s “Greatest Show On Earth” from the 2006 film “Idlewild”. This sweet and sexy video captures the personality of Harley Quinn with a twist of burlesque and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.
To see more of Tara Strand’s work, you can check out her Facebook page or visit Gotham Public Works.
We are also happy to announce that she will be in our upcoming 2012 Angry Girls calendar which will be sold to raise money for The American Red Cross.
Ever wonder how Chris Nolan’s interpretation of the Dark Knight would look in the style of the original 60s TV series? Here you go…
If your like me, then in recent weeks you have probably been wondering to yourself: “Where will I be spending 60+ hours on end exploring, thieving, beating, shooting, wandering, driving, flying, jumping in the new Grand Theft Auto?” Well wonder no longer. As of today, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be taking place in a city that we are all familiar with: San Andreas.
Yes, it is a return to a past life. However, this teaser raises more questions. Los Santos (mock up of Los Angeles) has been revealed in the trailer, but will Las Venturas (Las Vegas) make a come back? Will San Fierro (San Fransisco) return? Let’s hope so. And whose voice and character model will we be playing as? Was that Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City? And that voice sounds familiarly similar to Ray Liotta.
As you can see in the trailer, the graphics are stunning and at an all time high for the franchise. Furthermore, the environment looks vast and perfect for the exploring gamers needs. We can see the skyline of downtown Los Ang…er Los Santos, the beauty of Santa Monic…Santa Maria Beach, and the enjoyment of the Paradi….Pleasure Pier.
No release date has been announced, but looking at GTA IV as an example, I’m guessing sometime around April in 2012.
If you are a fan of Batman short films or fan films, you are probably familiar with Bat in the Sun productions, an independent production company that has a strong presence on the internet. With their hit “City of Scars” still fresh in people’s mind, BITS released today and all new short film, titled “Seeds of Arkham” that is bound to awe fans of The Batman. You’ll be amazed at how this is not a big budget production company and how true to the comic series they are.

We get approached with a lot of short films in hopes that we can help promote it and get people’s hard work out to the general public. Unfortunately, most of the time we can’t just put any video out there with the Angry Web seal of approval because we have to have standards for the thousands of viewers we get a day.
This video was sent to us by Karla Von Guerra who put this together in just a week’s time. Karla is part of a web series called the Going Nowhere Show and this live action rendition of “Dead Island” was too good to pass up on. This video mimics the game perfectly with less bugs and we are happy to share it with our viewers.
You can check out their YouTube channel or their Facebook page for more information and to follow their web series.
We have no idea what this commercial is for, but who cares, right?
No, not really. A couple weeks ago, it was announced that a live-action “Captain Planet” movie was in development and that it would be geared towards younger audiences. I for one was not happy with this direction as I would’ve preferred to see a more badass Captain Planet actually kicking the crap out of our planet’s waste problems. Like this…
