“Smallville” Superspoiler

Posted by Eugene Wong On February - 14 - 2011

If you tuned into last week’s episode of “Smallville”, which was titled Beacon, you might be able to guess what the spoiler is about.

SPOILER ALERT:

In the episode’s final scene, Tess Mercer attempts to stick a syringe into Lex Luthor clone, Alexander’s, neck, only to have it bend.

The latest from TVLine has revealed that Alexander is actually Conner Kent…as in Superboy.  This would mean he possesses DNA from both Lex Luthor and Clark Kent.  Check out the photo below!

The reveal is expected to happen in episode 16, titled Scion, and will air on March 4th.

Michael Rosenbaum back for “Smallville” season finale!

smallvillemichaelrosenbaum Michael Rosenbaum back for Smallville season finale!

Fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as “Smallville” alum, Michael Rosenbaum, has announced his return for the series’ 2-hour season finale. Over the past year, producers of the show have had numerous back and forth discussions with the actor on reprising his role as Lex Luthor. Rosenbaum was constantly adamant about not returning to the series, as it was released in an Entertainment Weekly article that he had repeatedly refused attempts by the producers to change his decision. Rosenbaum has stated the following:

“I’m delighted to return for the series finale. I’m simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made Smallville the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness, and even their threats. Ha ha.”

“I can’t wait to hug the old crew back in Vancouver one last time and see all of my old friends once again. Oh, and for Lex to become the bad-ass he’s destined to be.”

Producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson commented on Rosenbaum’s return:

“It feels like the stars are aligning, literally. We couldn’t be more excited. And as far as the way he returns… there’ll be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent’s life. He is the villain of the story.”

“Smallville” will end its 10-season run on May 13th with a 2-hour season finale.

Co-writer Marc Guggenheim thinks there is still a chance. Guggenheim has made a push to try and give Clark Kent a role in the upcoming “Green Lantern” film and says it’s still not too late. It has already made it through many drafts and the current draft still supports the cameo. There is no word on yet who would play Kent in the movie but Guggenheim joked:

You never know – it can still happen. If Tom Welling has a free hour or two, you never know.
