First pic of Supes in Smallville!
In case you missed another awesome season finale of Smallville, perhaps this might entice you to check it out. The intro takes a flash forward glimpse of the Daily Planet in the year 2013 and for the first time in the show, reveals a split-second glance of Clark Kent in full Superman attire! Sure, it may be CGI, but tell me that doesn’t look like Tom Welling’s face in the pic below
The scene afterwards also teases the suit and how Clark receives it as a gift from his mother. Season 10 can’t come soon enough!

“Crossfire” – Smallville 9.06 airs tonight
Was last week’s episode “Roulette” awesome or what? Welcome back, Green Arrow! I knew you still had the hero in you! And how about that last shot of Oliver and Clark on the rooftop? Priceless. Let’s see if we’re 6 for 6 with tonight’s new episode entitled “Crossfire”.
Season 9, Episode 6 – Crossfire – Friday 10/30, 9/8c on The CW
OLIVER TAKES DC COMICS’ CHARACTER SPEEDY UNDER HIS WING — Oliver tries to help a young street girl, Mia AKA Speedy (guest star Elise Gatien), get out of her dangerous life by offering to train her, but Mia double crosses him. Lois asks Clark to help her land a job as an on-air television host, but the two are shocked when the station wants to hire them as a team. Allison Mack, Cassidy Freeman and Callum Blue also star. Posted on KryptonSite. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead.
“Smallville” pushes for Season 10
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Kelly Souders stated that the team behind the show is hoping for a 10th season. Here’s what Souders had to say:
“We are really, really pushing for season 10. I think the word still isn’t out there that we’re on Friday nights. So if people keep tuning in and telling their friends about it, I think [a 10th season] is quite likely.”
With the current uncertainty about the show’s future, the question has arisen once again this season of whether it will be ending with a series finale or a season finale.
“It’s something that we faced last year, too. To try and break two different endings for a season kind of puts you at cross-purposes a little bit. For one, you’ll rev things up, and for another, you’re trying to bring everything to the finish line. But we’re really planning on breaking a season finale and not a series finale.”
Souders was also asked whether we’d ever see Clark don the iconic red, blue, and yellow suit and said the following:
“We think Smallville from the get-go was about how a young man turns into Superman. And it’s really about the journey getting there. I can’t make any promises, but if it was ever going to happen, it would be at the very end.”
So what do you think, readers? Do you want to see a season 10? Sure, Smallville has had its rough moments, but it’s also had plenty of amazing ones. In addition, I think the brilliant start to this 9th season has more than earned the show its right to continue with a 10th one. And in response to Souders’ quote regarding the shows’ decline in viewers:
