Originally launched for the Nintendo 3DS, “Resident Evil: Revelations” bridges the gap between “Resident Evil 4″ and “Resident Evil 5″. Today, one of the best titles available for the handheld Nintendo console finds its way to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The 30 hour long handheld game is broken down into episodes where fans of the franchise alternate between Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, Resident Evil veterans. The first time I played through this title, shortly after its launch on February 7, 2012, it felt like a console title and the good folks at Capcom are doing the title justice by bringing it to a larger audience that will actually enjoy it on their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

You begin the game as Jill in the middle of the Mediterranean just before boarding an abandoned cruise ship, the “Queen Zenobia”. The episodes where Jill is the lead feel more like a game of investigating unusual occurrences as opposed to the common 3rd person zombie shooter that fans are used to. Right off the bat I realized you’re spending more time searching the map or in dialogue that you don’t see much action. Because of this, ammo is scarce, so remember that before you go all out on your enemies.

In contrast, the episodes where you play as Chris are much more action packed. The beauty of this game, is that it really is 2 games woven into each other with different stories that share common ground and utilize significantly different gameplay. On top of that, you are called upon to solve puzzles which diversifies the title even further.

The console version also will include some bonus features including a new difficulty mode and new enemies.

I grew up playing the RE games and to be perfectly honest, they are pretty hit and miss for me. “Resident Evil Revelations” hits the spot completely with it’s own brand of gameplay that will appeal to gamers who haven’t taken to the series yet and long time fans of the franchise.

If you have already played the 3DS version, you won’t really be missing much. If you either don’t own a 3DS or just haven’t invested in this title, now is your chance to get it in full HD for under $50. This is a great game for gamers and an even better game for Resident Evil lovers.

Last night, “The Office” aired its final episode after a long 9 year run. The episode, simply titled “Finale”, took us on an hour long journey of what the Dunder Mifflin crew was up to and gave us some closure on many of the characters that we’ve grown to love during the past decade.

The show was never the same after Steve Carell’s departure from the series just over 2 years ago and viewership was on a steady decline. It was finally decided that the series was to be ended after the 2012-2013 season.

If you are not familiar with the series as a whole, or have just stopped watching the past few seasons, the premise of the show revolves around the employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company who were being filmed as part of a PBS documentary.

This season, we have seen the build up to the airing of that documentary and how the crew is coping with the fact that their whole lives are being unraveled in front of the world. Every happy, sad and embarrassing moment the staff had to endure was now becoming public from Jim and Pam’s slow building romance to Creed’s eventual outing as a band member of The Grass Roots (which he actually was) and a drug dealer who was now being sought after by police.

The series finale fast forwards us 6 months down the road where Dwight and Angela are planning their wedding, Andy finds a new path after his failed attempt at being an actor, Stanley finds new happiness after he retired and Pam and Jim plan the next chapter of their lives.

Without going into an in-depth summary full of spoilers and giving up all of the development of the characters, “The Office” ended its run on a high note with plenty of emotion and topped with a big bow that should leave dedicated fans satisfied.

With E3 just around the corner, it’s no surprise that we are starting to see some activity from the folks over at WB Games with regards to the next installment of the “Batman” Arkham titles.

Today fans were treated to a teaser version of a full trailer due out on May 20th.

Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.

Last weekend, Kevin Smith posted a photo via Instagram showing off the completed first draft of “Clerks 3″. Weighing in at 137 pages, the draft was started on April 20 of this year (is anybody surprised he started it on 4/20?).

To go a long with the photo, Smith wrote:

IT IS ACCOMPLISHED! First draft of CLERKS III is 137 pages. Plays like the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK of the Clerks trilogy.

It’s still too early to project a release date but we’ll bring you more on this project as we get it.

Yes boys and girls its true, ABC has ordered “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” to a full series with Joss Whedon as a co-writer. We will officially be getting the return of Agent Coulson and our first deeper look into the Marvel universe. I know I am looking forward to seeing more of what shield has been up to since the end of “The Avengers”. We will find out just what happened on that helicarrier between Coulson and Fury.

In an era of television where we are looking backwards in order to move forwards, shows like “Arrested Development” are being brought back, “Boy Meets World” is being rehashed and “Firefly” is…well, “Firefly” isn’t coming back.

Whether this is due to a lack of creativity or just wanting to capitalize on a popular series, Fox is considering the idea of bringing back Jack Bauer for a short run of the hit counter terrorism series “24″. When the series ended in 2010, the show was bringing in big ratings (though still below its peak numbers) and left fans without a definitive ending with hopes to continue the story with a feature film.

Reports are that series’ executive producer, Howard Gordon, is the one who pitched the idea and would return to work on it again regardless of the fact that he is currently involved with the hit series on Showtime, “Homeland”.

Kiefer Sutherland is also expected to return as his current series, “Touch”, is not expected to be renewed for a 3rd season.

It is still too early to tell what will happen but as more information becomes available, we will be sure to bring it to you.

When Marvel’s “The Avengers” released in theaters last year, it was no surprise that it smashed box office numbers. But what happens when you can’t get your team back together for a 2nd and possibly 3rd movie?

It is being reported that Chris Hemsworth, known for his portrayal of Thor, and Scarlett Johansson, cast as Black Widow, are in disputes with the studio over financial issues. Sources are also saying that the dispute started in part because of the contract Robert Downey Jr. had netting him somewhere in the ballpark of $50-70 million where as the other leads were paid nowhere near that.

With over $1 billion in worldwide sales, chances are we will see a sequel to “The Avengers” one way or another but the question is, will the actors and the studio come to terms with the contract? The studio is known for replacing actors when necessary so whether or not Hemsworth and Johansson are on board…the show must go on.

Universal Pictures has announced that production of Jurassic Park 4 would be temporarily placed on hold as the studio wants to “bring audiences the best possible version”.

The 4th installment of Jurassic Park, directed by Colin Trevorrow and produced by Steven Spielberg, was originally set for a June 13, 2014 release date. That date has been scrapped and fans will have to patiently wait until new information drops before setting their countdown calendar.

The original film is still in theaters after it’s 3D launch last month so get your dino-fix while you still have the chance.

EA was selected for a multi-year, multi-title, contract to develop and publish “Star Wars” games for the “core gaming market”.

Industry leaders and creators of best-in-class blockbuster games, the development and publishing teams at EA will collaborate with the creative teams at Lucasfilm to provide audiences with all-new gaming experiences set in the ever-expanding Star Wars galaxy. As part of the agreement, EA studio teams DICE (Battlefield series) and Visceral (Dead Space series) will join BioWare (Mass Effect series, Star Wars: The Old Republic) in the development of new Star Wars games.

Other “Star Wars” titles for a more generic audience will be published by Disney Interactive for consoles and tablets, including the Android and iOS platforms.

With the problems EA has faced with the restrictions of “Sim City”, some fans fear that EA may not be the best suited to handle the “Star Wars” franchise.
