Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons cast in “Man of Steel 2”

Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luther

Today Zack Snyder announced 2 more additions to the casting line up of “Man of Steel 2” (or “Superman/Batman” or “Justice League” or whatever the name will be tomorrow.

The sequel to “Man of Steel” will be introducing Superman’s greatest foe…Lex Luthor. Luthor will be played by Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social network” and “Zombieland”) per Snyder’s announcement.

Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals , his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.

What’s even more surprising is that Jeremy Irons has been cast as Bruce Wayne’s butler and father figure, Alfred Pennyworth.

He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious façade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne.

We already knew that Batman was going to be an intricate part of this film but with the introduction of Alfred, it seems Batman will have his own story within the film.

This week, someone close to the production leaked the above photo of Leonardo and The Shredder from the upcoming film.

We can pretty much confirm that this will be the final look of the characters as Paramount is trying to get the image pulled as fast as they get put up.

Do you feel Michael Bay did you childhood justice with this design or is this just

Ever since “Star Wars: Episode VII” was announced, one of the biggest questions to ignite the rumor mill was “who would be returning from the original trilogy?”

Well, in a recent interview with TV Guide, Carrie Fisher not only confirmed her involvement but also confirmed the involvement of the original Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill respectively.

One can only wonder what their role will be seeing as so much time has past since the original trilogy.

In the interview, Fisher stated:

I’d like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again – but with white hair. I think that would be funny.

The J.J. Abrams film already has a complete script and is scheduled to go into production.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” has a release date of December 18, 2015.
